The endometrium lining (womb) is now 8.6mm (up from 8.5) so all is OK there still too.
The nurse told me today that we don't really want any more follicles to develop, but we DO want them to get bigger. Ideally they all need to grow to about 20mm, so they have kept me on the same dose of menopur (3 amps per day) and I'm back again on Monday for another scan.
I have had to buy 3 more amps of menopur (another £45) so I can get to Monday.
I also had to pay the BIG bill today £2850 plus the HFEA bill of £103, this hd better work!
So far this has cost:
Sperm Test £130
Initial consult: £190
Buserelin drugs: £32.16
Menopur drugs: £500
IVF treatment: £2850
HFEA fee: £103
Vitamins: £50
Grand total: £3855.16
I'm hoping there aren't any other bills to come in, although if we get several good quality embryos then we will freeze them which is another £410. Sigh.
In other news, I went to the hairdressers today, so my hair is now lovely and red again instead of a shade of pink!
I need cheering up now after the depressing realisation of how much this round of IVF has cost (when it should be free on the NHS!), here is something that will cheer me up - taken from my excellent bad kitty daily calendar:
