By now my embryos will be at 16-32 cells on their way to the blastocycst stage - this is when they will implant and take hold! (right now they are just hanging out and keeping warm).
We had news from the clinic yesterday afternoon that the three embryos that were left over were not good enough to freeze - one was OK and one was borderline, but the thawing process is rather tricky and their opinion was that they probably wouldn't make it, so we opted to have them destroyed.
It's quite sad as they could have been future children, and now if we do decide to do this again - it's right back to the drawing board with a fresh cycle, but I'm pretty sure we won't need this as twins will be enough for me!
We also paid the final bill yesterday which came to:
Treatment: £2850
Menopur: £495
Cetrotide: £391
HFEA fee: £103
Total: £3839
So again, a big thank you to those of you who helped us pay for this treatment, we couldn't have done it without you.
I'm pleased though that we at least got 2 embryos this time - I always wanted twins:)
