All is well! We only had to wait 5 minutes (which surprised me!) and we went into the ultrasound room for the scan. Sadly the pictures we got were not as good or clear as the one we got last week, so I'm not going to post them as you can't see very much :(
The baby is now 66mm in length, so it has grown 11mm in 5 days! the software they use dated the baby at 13 weeks and 2 days so BB is big for his/her age! We know our conception date though so the nurse said to stick with the 12 weeks and 4 days for now. We actually saw the heart beating and she turned the sound on and the heartbeat was quite strong!
The nuchal fold test gave us a 1 in 2164 risk of downs syndrome which is very low, a high risk is 1 in 250, so we are fine.
She couldn't tell me why I'm bleeding though, but said as long as there is no pain then BB will be ok and it shouldn't harm the baby.
So all in all it went very well and we are very happy today. The next scan is booked for the 22nd January, when I will be about 22 weeks pregnant.
In other news our friends in America sent me a picture of their poor cat overnight, and I just have to share it with you. They were on holiday last week and the cat (her name is Lady) goes to the local cattery while they are away. While there, the staff were instructed to give her a bath. Only when they picked her up, the stupid woman who worked there decided to SHAVE her! She is a long haired Norwegion forest cat and she is not supposed to have NO FUR!! poor baby - here is a before pic that I took a few years ago and an after pic that was taken yesterday.
