A lovely holiday

I promised to write about our holiday so here it is!

After everything we have been through over the last year, we ummed and ahhed over whether to spend a little of our savings on a holiday, and decided it was worth it as we are about to embark on another round of IVF and the break would help. We timeed it so that we could be away when it was Matthews due date so we wouldn't have to face this at home.

Well we went to visit our friends Pat and Walt in Annapolis, Maryland - which for those of you who don't know is near Washington DC in America.

The flight over was pretty good (which is highly unusual) although British Airways standard of food was it's usual crap. The weather when we landed was HOT! humidity is always 80-100% over there this time of year so it was muggy too (thank god for air conditioning in Pats house!)

We had a fab time, the first week we went to Williamsburg, where we saw the sights and went to Busch Gardens Where we went on a really scary rollercoaster and
also got SOAKED on a wet ride!

The second week we went up to Charles Town to hit the casino which was also fun (the hotel we stayed at had a great pool!) and in between all this we went to Malls, movies (Shrek 3 and Pirates 3), and just hung out around the house.

Overall we had a wonderful time, so a BIG thank you to Pat and Walt for their kindness and wonderful hospitality - they are coming to visit us in October so that they can go to the American football game with Chris in Wembley - I only hope we can show them as much fun as they showed us (end of October in England - lol).
