Good scan today!

I went to the hospital today for my next scan. Chris decided to come with me as I've been getting quite a few twinges (painful at times) around the ovaries and we weren't sure if this was good or bad so he wanted to come and check it out with me. It turns out it is OK to get this as the follicles are being pushed quite hard to grow LOTS so they are going to be giving me some grief over the next week.

The scan was great - I now have 12 follicles growing, here are the details:

Left Side: 5 growing; 2 are 12mm, 2 are 13mm and 1 is 14mm
Right side: 7 growing; 3 are 8mm, 1 is 9mm, 1 is 11mm, 1 is 12mm and one is a whopping 15mm!

The lining of my womb is now a lovely 8.5mm thick (up from 2.5mm) so they are really pleased with this. All is well.

Here is a picture of the follicles - you can't see much so I have circled them in red, you are looking at the left and right side. On the left side you can see three dark areas these are the follicles, and on the right you can see 2 larger dark areas. You obviously can't see them all at the same time, but at least there is now something there to see (click the image to see a bigger version)

I also had another session of acupuncture today. This went well, she put more needles in me today and for longer - I hardly felt them. I have another session on Saturday.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day - we have a new shed being delivered, a man coming to fix the scratch on the dining room table, a conference call in the afternoon (work) and I'm off to Guildford to meet some of the ladies on the fertility board in the evening. So I'm off to bed now to get an early night.
