I didn't post anything last night as I had a friend round and we got ourselves a little bit on the tipsy side so the thought of blogs and laptops never even entered my mind!
Had a nice day yesterday. Shelly, my best and longest friend (18 years!) came to stay with me yesterday, we watched tv, chatted and did a little shopping, then ended the evening with a nice bottle of wine:)
This morning I don't have a hangover (for those of you that know me well will know that that is a very good thing, as my being sick hangovers are legendary!), so no hangover and I'm feeling good. Life is going to return to normal.
I've put my sunbed and my motorbike (Yamaha FZS600 Fazer, Black) up for sale in the local paper which comes out next week, I've also put one of my cameras on ebay as I'm now out to raise more money.
I'm also thinking about launching a new website where kind people from all over the world can donate money to me and buy me a baby! (well not an actual baby but the IVF treatment we need!) My only issue with this is getting well known, and it this really a good idea or is it plain cheeky? I think about sites like the million dollar web page and one red paperclip, and I think of these people who have had silly ideas that just catch on and work.
I'm thinking, Any money I would raise from this site would pay for the following:
1. As many IVF treatments as I need (assuming I get lots of money!) until such time as I actually give birth,
2. Any remaining money would go to other women like me who can't have children without fertility treatment, probably some of the ladies I've met at the clinic - but I could ask for other peoples opinions, maybe run competitions to win their treatment paid or something.
I'd also like to use the site as a way to promote information on fertility treatment, to raise awareness of the number of people who suffer with this problem, and to help other couples who are going through it - I'd probably link into Fertilityfriends as this is a great site.
Perhaps even run a campaign to get the government to change the policy on IVF on the NHS, and to make the Primary Care Trusts to follow the NICE guidelines instead of allowing them to make their own rules and give all their money to the alcoholics (see my post of a few days ago, it still annoys me!).
What do you think? Would anyone out there like to help me promote it? (How would I get good press?) I live in a family of journalists, perhaps they could help??
Feel free to use the comments link just below this text, I'd like to know your honest opinion
