All is well

I am now 40 days post fertilisation which is 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant and we had another scan this morning that confirmed all is well.

The lady that did the scan wouldn't give us a picture but said that the baby is now 16mm in length - which means it has more than doubled in size in just a week!

We saw a healthy heartbeat again and were told that the baby is high up in the uterus which is where it is supposed to be, and that the bleeding is low down near the entrance to the uterus, although they couldn't really tell us why I am bleeding.

I'm just pleased to know that my baby is OK and the bleeding hasn't caused it any damage or loss.

Phew.

Midwife this afternoon for my first antenatal appointment - I will tell you all about this tomorrow.
