We are having a baby!!!

We had our first scan today and it's official! We are having a baby!!

If you have been reading my blog you'll see that we 'thought' it might be twins but we only saw one little sac on the scan and one very strong heartbeat! It was amazing. To actually see our baby in there with it's little heart beating was the most wonderful feeling (we both cried!)

We have never got this far before. I've been pregnany three times in the past (natural conception) but due to miscarriage and 2 ectopics we never got to see the baby in the uterus, so to see this today is a dream come true!

We also got a scan pic which is below - what you are seeing is the baby in the sac - the black area (highlighted with red circle) is the sac and the little 'blob' inside it (highlighted by the green circle) is the baby. If you click the image you will see a bigger version for more detail.

It measures 6.1mm from crown to rump.

I think I'm going to go away and cry now.
