Once again I'm finding myself playing the waiting game with mother nature. I was due to get my period on Saturday, but once again the old witch is late, which meant I had to cancel the appointment I had today with the clinic as there is no point in me going until I get it.
They will be doing blood tests on day 2 and giving me new drugs, so for now I just have to sit here and wait for it to arrive.
It's been another busy week. I've not posted as I haven't had much time due to family staying, and also it's been a nice break from the treatment (as this is a blog about my attempts to get pregnant, and there hasn't been anything happening until now).
I do plan to get back to posting daily from now on, so check back often again from today and it should be updated!
I had a lovely time last week. We had a visit from Steve and Gina. Steve is Chris's brother and Gina is his lovely wife - who is 5 months pregnant herself, so we spent some time in mothercare and other baby shops just browsing and talking babies. It was a little difficult at first as I've been trying for quite some time, and there is always a little jealousy whenever I see anyone who is pregnant, but I'm soooooo pleased for them and they are a wonderful couple and will make fantastic parents.
I also had a call from my mum last night. It was so lovely to hear from her, even though I was half asleep. She has been in Hawaii for the last 2 months, and I miss her terribly. She wasn't here during the last treatment, but she is coming home at the start of September and I can't wait to see her.
Thursday is also going to be a great day - my dear friend Pat is coming over from the USA to visit for a week, I can't wait to see her too, we are such good friends and I love her to bits so we will have fun while she is here - although I can't drink so we will have to have a sober week!
For now though I'm simply concentrating on telling my body that it really needs to have a period so I can get on with this next cycle. I'm quite excited to be starting again, although I am going into it with more knowledge of what to expect this time.
Last but not least, I'd like to say a massive THANK YOU to the family members who have given us some money towards this next cycle, you know who you are. We couldn't have started so quickly without this and we hope that this time we will make you proud grandparents!!!!!
