Tomorrow is the big day, the one that costs all the money (£2900) and everything rests on this.
So far we have paid out
£470 Initial drugs package for 30 vials Menopur
£104.50 HFEA fee
£300 Cetrotide drugs
£82.50 5 Extra Menopur
£2900 IVF fee
Giving a total for this cycle of £3857
So you can see why I'm a little nervous. Last time we did this we had 9 follicles, of which 5 of them were over 20mm in size, this is the recommended size to get a good mature egg.
This time we have 8 follicles, but only 1 is over 20mm. This terrifies me and makes me wonder if we should have stimmed for a couple more days to get them up to size.
There is no going back now. We took the Pregnyl shot last night so we either go ahead with the egg collection, or we abandon and lose £957.
