We went to Rockville today to meet up with some of the staff there - I had a great day and found out a few things I didn't know.
The journey home however was a nightmare! Just as we were leaving a storm came in and made what is usually bad traffic (like the M25) on the Washington DC beltway - worse!
It took 2 hours to do a 45 minute journey - then when we were 3 miles from home, we got stuck again - and it took a further hour to go that last little bit.
The lightning show was spectacular though - we don't get it like that in the UK often and it was every few minutes and just lit up and streaked across the sky. Amazing.
Pat had dinner waiting (thank you for keeping it hot for us!) and I had to pee so bad, but we made it home and overall it was worth it.

Just to make you feel better...when we were going to Rockville to have our invitro treatment a storm came that caused a 100 car accident and it took us 9 hours to get from Long Island to Rockville. We were only a half hour away from our hotel, and it took us 6 hours to get there. We had to do shots in the car while sitting in traffic.
Consider it good luck because on July 7 2005 I gave birth to my first daughter, thanks to Shady Grove! Good luck!
